Frequently asked questions
When will I get my orWhat's the difference between HP 136A and 136X?der?
Capacity. Both fit the same printers, but the 136A prints about 1,150 pages while the 136X prints about 2,600. Choose 136A for light printing, 136X for busy offices.
Will a compatible 136A toner damage my printer?
No. A properly made compatible toner fits and prints exactly like the original — and your printer is built to reject anything that doesn't fit or communicate correctly. Every cartridge we sell is tested before shipping and backed by an 18-month warranty.
Does this toner come with a chip?
Yes — the smart chip is already fitted. Unbox it, slide it in, and print. No chip swapping from your old cartridge, no error messages.
How many pages does the HP 136A print?
About 1,150 pages per cartridge, measured at 5% page coverage on A4 paper. Print-heavy pages (images, dense tables) use more toner, so your real number depends on what you print.
What is the HP 136A cartridge number?
The HP 136A's part number is W1360A. You'll see either "136A" or "W1360A" on the box and in your printer's supply status — both mean the same cartridge.
What printers use HP 136A toner?
The HP 136A fits the HP LaserJet M211d and M211dw, and the HP LaserJet MFP M236d, M236dw, M236sdn, and M236sdw. It doesn't fit any other HP series.
How do I use a toner cartridge?
Using a toner cartridge is easier than most people think.
First, turn off your printer and open the front cover. Take out the old toner cartridge slowly. You will usually see the toner number written on it. This helps you confirm you are using the correct replacement.
Next, take the new toner cartridge out of the box. Gently shake it from side to side a few times. This helps spread the toner powder evenly inside so your prints come out clean.
Remove any protective tape or cover from the cartridge. This step is important. If you forget it, the printer will not print.
Now slide the toner cartridge into the printer until it clicks into place. Close the printer cover and turn the printer back on.
That’s it. Your printer is ready to print.
If the printer shows a message at first, don’t panic. Many printers need a few seconds to recognize the new toner. Once it’s detected, printing starts normally.

What should I do if my printer does not detect the toner?
First, stay calm. This is very common.
Remove the toner, insert it again firmly, and restart the printer. In most cases, the printer detects it right away.
If a message still appears, it usually means the toner needs to sit properly inside the printer. It does not mean your printer is broken, and it does not mean the toner is bad.
This happens with original and compatible toners alike.
Will a compatible toner cartridge damage my printer?
No, it will not.
A good compatible toner cartridge does not damage your printer. It is designed to fit correctly, communicate properly with the printer chip, and print smoothly. Millions of people use compatible toners every day at home and at work without problems.
Your printer is built to protect itself. If a toner does not fit or work, it simply will not run. That’s why a tested compatible toner is safe to use.
Is this a compatible toner cartridge or an original one?
This is a compatible toner cartridge.
Compatible means it is made to work the same way as the original, fit the same printer, and print the same number of pages — but at a much lower cost. Many people pay more for original toner because they are afraid of errors. A properly made compatible toner removes that fear.
Your printer only cares about one thing: does the toner fit and work properly? This one does.

What is a toner cartridge?
A toner cartridge is what your laser printer uses to print words and images on paper.
Unlike ink, toner is a dry powder.
That’s why laser printers print faster, cleaner, and last longer.
If you print: bills, reports, school work. office papers, etc.
You need a toner cartridge, not ink.
